It is played on the PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, one of the toughest courses on the PGA Tour. The famous bear trap consisting of hole number 15, 16 and 17 is the place where the tournament is won or lost. With water in play on every hole, there is no room for error.
“There are no bailouts. You have to commit and hit a good shot,”says Tiger Woods.
At one point (i haven’t found the updated stats) Norway’s first player on The PGA Tour, Henrik Bjornstad had the best score on the bear trap (-4). Maybe Viktor Hovland could do the same?
My 5 picks for the week
Coming of his first win, Viktor Hovland is one of my favorites. Although I might be biased, he is one of the top contenders this week as well. Ricky Fowler is another. Tommy Fleetwood is also one of my picks for the week, he is always up there. Brooks Koepka is my fourth pick of the week, simply because he is one of the best players in the world. My last pick of the week is Erik Van Rooyen. He had a good week last week, and could very well get a win in Florida.
I have to make a list with three people I also believe could go off and win. Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood and Justin Rose. Lee Westwood has shown good form this year, Justin Rose needs to show some results soon and Ian Poulter, just because he is Ian Poulter. Post a comment on who you would like to win.
